EMILY LUKING

Fiber Art

Emily Luking is an emerging fiber artist from Baltimore, Maryland. Her work ranges from abstract texture-scapes to large as life soft sculptures, which have been installed around Baltimore for various events. As a maker, she works hard to use environmentally safe practices, such as using natural fibers, natural dyes, and recycling/repurposing materials. Much of what she uses to fill her pods is junk that would have otherwise been trash, but here it become part of a rich landscape of color and texture. Crochet is her main process for the pods, some of which are filled, and some left empty to give the visual effect of clustered holes.

Here you can check out her portfolio, look at upcoming shows, and contact her for collaborations or purchasing.

Thanks for looking!
